My eBay account has an MC027 restriction
A restriction applied when a cluster of buyer complaints, usually Item Not Received or Not As Described, pushes your case rate up.
Reviewed by the Tekovex marketplace team · eBay store management
MC027 relates to buyer-complaint patterns, most often a cluster of Item Not Received or Item Not As Described cases.
eBay applies this restriction to protect buyers when a seller’s case rate climbs, regardless of who was actually at fault in each individual case. A run of couriers losing parcels can trigger it just as easily as genuine seller error.
Resolving it usually means showing tracking proof across recent orders and demonstrating that the cases were handled correctly and promptly.
A practical checklist
- Pull the list of cases eBay is counting and check the tracking status on each.
- For Item Not Received, gather delivery-confirmed tracking. For Not As Described, gather listing photos and the resolution offered.
- Show that cases were answered quickly and resolved without eBay having to step in.
- Fix the operational cause: a courier with a bad delivery record, or listings that oversell condition.

Questions
The cases were the courier’s fault, not mine. Does that matter?
For the restriction itself, eBay looks at the rate, not fault. But delivery-confirmed tracking and a clean handling record are exactly what clears it.
