My eBay account has an MC018 performance restriction
A performance-based restriction triggered by seller metrics falling below eBay’s standards.
Reviewed by the Tekovex marketplace team · eBay store management
MC018 is a performance-based restriction. It is triggered by seller metrics falling below eBay’s required standards, most commonly late shipments, a high transaction defect rate, or too many cancelled orders.
Unlike MC011 and MC013, this one is usually resolved by fixing the underlying operational issue and demonstrating improved metrics over time, rather than by submitting documents. Because the metrics are measured on a rolling window of recent transactions, recovery takes weeks, not days.
A practical checklist
- Open Seller Hub, then Performance, and identify which metric failed: late dispatch rate, defect rate, or cancellations.
- Fix the operational cause. Set a same-day dispatch cut-off, tighten stock control, handle issues before the buyer opens a case.
- Keep selling. The metric recovers as new, clean transactions replace the old ones in the rolling window.
- Do not cancel orders to avoid problems. Cancellations are themselves a defect.
How Tekovex helps
We take over order processing, dispatch, messages and case handling to an agreed standard so the metrics recover, then keep them healthy so it does not happen again.

Questions
How long until an MC018 clears?
It follows the rolling metric window, so typically a few weeks of clean transactions once the operational cause is fixed.
Do I need to submit documents for an MC018?
No. This one is resolved by improving the metrics, not by ID or invoices.
