My TikTok Shop sales are falling

GMV dropped, usually content velocity, creator activity, or product-card performance.

Reviewed by the Tekovex marketplace team · TikTok Shop store management

TikTok Shop sales are driven differently from a search marketplace. A decline usually means:

  • Content velocity dropped. Fewer shoppable videos and LIVEs featuring your products, or the content that was working got stale and the algorithm moved on.
  • Creator momentum stalled. Affiliates stopped posting, your commission is no longer competitive, or you’re not seeding samples and briefs consistently.
  • Product card / listing issues. Weak main image, price changes, low ratings, or stock problems hurting conversion on the traffic you do get.
  • Account or compliance friction. Violation points, a listing takedown, or a shop health score drop throttling reach.
  • Ads. GMV Max or video-shopping ads out of budget or losing efficiency.

A practical checklist

  • Check Shop health / violation points in Seller Center first.
  • Count shoppable videos and LIVE hours featuring your products over the last 30 days vs the prior 30.
  • Check active affiliate count and their posting frequency, and your commission rate vs competitors.
  • Review your top product cards: main image, price, rating, reviews, stock status.
  • Check ad spend efficiency and whether campaigns are budget-capped.

Questions

Is TikTok Shop mostly about ads?

No. Organic shoppable content and an active affiliate programme usually drive the majority of GMV. Ads amplify what’s already working.
