My Etsy store isn’t getting sales
Either the listings aren’t being seen, or they’re seen and don’t convert.

Split the problem with your own stats (Shop Manager → Stats):
- Low views: an Etsy SEO problem. Titles, tags, and attributes don’t match how buyers search, the category or attributes are wrong, or listing quality and recency signals are weak.
- Views but low visits / low order rate: the search thumbnail or the listing itself - first photo, price, reviews, shipping cost and time, or a listing that doesn’t match the search intent it’s showing for.
- New or reactivated shop: Etsy takes time to trust a shop; early listings rank lower until they gather views, favourites, and sales.
Etsy Ads can buy views but won’t fix listings that don’t convert.
A practical checklist
- In Stats, check whether the problem is views (SEO) or conversion (listing/offer).
- Rewrite titles and use all 13 tags with buyer-language phrases, not single words.
- Fill every listing attribute, Etsy uses them for search and filters.
- Replace first photos with bright, clear, well-cropped images that read at thumbnail size.
- Check your shipping price and processing time against similar shops.
- Make sure you have recent reviews and consistent new-listing activity.

Questions
Do Etsy tags still matter?
Yes. All 13 tags, multi-word, matched to real search phrases, plus the title and attributes. Leaving tags unused is leaving ranking on the table.
Should I run Etsy Ads?
Only once your listings convert. Ads on weak listings just cost money.
